About the Westbrook Mill
The story of Westbrook Mill is one of pioneering innovation and successful adaptation. Beginning in 1854, the mill’s owner - S D Warren Company - embarked on a journey in paper science to develop some of the world’s first coated papers. The discoveries and inventions achieved over the following decades at the mill now form the foundation for many modern technical papermaking and coating processes used throughout the world today.
Paper science in action
Ultracast Viva® is the first high-fidelity textured release paper line that enables production via solvent-free manufacturing systems. With this innovation, the product has a lighter environmental footprint than conventional release papers.
