About us

What we do

We create sustainable products from renewable resources.

Sappi uses renewable resources to make woodfibre based products. We are a diversified, innovative and trusted leader focused on sustainable processes and products, and are building a circular economy that benefits the world.

Our packaging papers, graphic papers, pulp and biomaterials are manufactured from woodfibre sourced from sustainably managed forests, in production facilities which, in many cases use internally generated bioenergy. Many of our operations are self-sufficient.

We have manufacturing operations on three continents and sell our products in more than 150 countries. Our global presence allows us to optimize for different markets, while sharing best practices and the latest technological achievements.

Our commitment to sustainability is in our products

We manufacture innovative packaging, speciality and graphic paper products with a commitment to sustainability and a circular economy, including flexible packaging, paperboard, containerboard, label papers and self-adhesives.

Sappi’s dissolving wood pulp (DWP), Verve, is a truly sustainable brand. Used in textiles to pharmaceuticals and food applications, Sappi’s Verve is a highly purified form of cellulose extracted from sustainably grown and responsibly managed trees using unique cellulose chemistry technology. The fibres produced from DWP also act as good blend partners in fabric with cotton and polyester but far exceed cotton and polyester when it comes to sustainability.
