Our recruitment process
When it comes to recruiting, we believe in a transparent and collaborative approach for all. Making sure you feel well-informed at every stage. For each region, it will vary slightly. But wherever you apply, you will find it respectful, reflective and insightful. For roles within our mills and offices, we begin with a phone or online interview. Then a face-to-face meeting. This may be followed by a technical assessment or a request to produce a short case study. And finally, some psychometrics and a tour of your new mill or office location.

The Sappi story
We were founded on 17th December 1936 in South Africa. And began as ‘South African Pulp and Paper Industries Limited’, producing paper from straw at our first mill in Johannesburg.
